Education and Higher Education

  • Leading the development of the digital transformation strategy and implementation plans at 15 African universities on behalf of the World Bank Group (WBG), in collaboration with the Association of African Universities (AAU).
  • Leading the development of the digital transformation strategy and implementation plan in the higher education sector of Tunisia on behalf of the WBG.
  • Providing technical assistance, as part of the WBG team, for the development of the digital transformation strategy and implementation plans in the higher education sectors of the Gambia and the Philippines.
  • Conducted digital transformation research for the WBG to benchmark several countries including China, Estonia, Germany, Lithuania, Malaysia, Morocco, South Africa, Turkey, and the United States.
  • Leading European Union-funded digital transformation project at the Ministry of Education in Baghdad, Iraq to implement an Education Management Information System (EMIS) at 30,000 public schools serving more than 9 million students and at 1,200 literacy centers affiliated with the High Commission for Literacy in Iraq.
  • Lead UNESCO management consultant for the requirements and gap analysis for an education management information system at the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Baghdad, Iraq.
  • Led digital transformation projects at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Beirut, Lebanon to roll out an EMIS at 165 Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) schools as ILO consultant and at 34 vocational training centers as UNICEF Consultant.
  • Lead UNESCO management consultant for implementing a national data system and performance indicators for the Educate A Child Initiative (EACI) targeting out of school children to enroll in the Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) to complete the primary education stage.
  • Executive sponsor of academic systems improvement project in collaboration with the Office of the Provost at the American University of Beirut (AUB) to align digital services with the academic strategic plan and improve the student information system.
  • Lead management consultant for digital transformation, needs analysis, procurement, and vendor evaluation processes at Ahfad University for Women in Omdurman, Sudan.
  • Led implementation of the Oracle eBusiness Suite enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions at the American University of Beirut and its medical center.
  • Led project team to define policies, processes, and procedures for establishing an Office of Information Technology as well as all IT infrastructure and systems needed at the planned American University of Abu Dhabi.
  • Executive sponsor of issue management solution based on Microsoft System Center Service Manager for IT Help Desk Management, Change Management, and Issue Tracking.
 

Healthcare

  • Provided management consulting services to the CEO of Lebanese American University Medical Center – Rizk Hospital for the acquisition and implementation of an electronic health records (EHR) system and enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution.
  • Led a task force conducting requirements analysis, vendor and solution evaluation, and gap analysis for an Electronic Health Records (EHR) implementation for the newly constructed medical center at the American University of Beirut (600 Beds) in Lebanon.
  • Led implementation of Meditech Hospital Information System at King Fahd Armed Forces Hospital (400+ Beds) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
  • Led implementation of Meditech Hospital Information System at Hamad General Hospital (600+ Beds) in Doha, Qatar.
  • Collaborated with quality and ISO audit teams from life sciences, medical device manufacturers, and pharmaceuticals companies to ensure regulatory compliance of Agile Software’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution; customers included AstraZeneca, General Electric Medical Systems, GlaxoSmithKline, Guidant, Hill-Rom Hillenbrand, Hologic, Intuitive Surgical, Johnson & Johnson, Medtronic, Playtex, Sonic Innovations, Tyco Healthcare, and Visx.
  • Performed compliance function including FDA 21 CFR Part 11, Good Automated Manufacturing Practice (GAMP-4), and Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
 

Government and Public Administration

  • Spearheaded the National Digital Transformation Strategy and Implementation Plans for Lebanon, totaling 82 projects with $250 million budget, in collaboration with the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, World Bank, UNDP, Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and other stakeholders
  • Performed a situational analysis about the effect of digital transformation on 13 economic sectors in Lebanon, namely Agriculture, Construction and Real Estate, Education, Energy, Finance and Insurance Services, Healthcare, Industry and Manufacturing, Logistics and Transportation, Media, Public Administration, Retail and Commerce, Technology, Tourism and Hospitality.
  • Lead UNESCO management consultant for managing and monitoring the Illiteracy Eradication and Education for All initiatives at the Ministry of Education in Baghdad, Iraq.

  • Led technical team, at eSharing, in developing several mobility solutions for multiple platforms (Apple iOS, Windows Phone, and Android) including IP-telephony app for Telephone.com, social networking, eCommerce, and Mobile eHealth apps.
  • Led and participated in implementing enterprise applications at global high tech manufacturers including Cisco, Compaq, Dell, Hitachi, Microsoft, Philips, and Siemens; and at electronic manufacturing services (EMS) providers, such as Flextronics, Solectron, and Jabil Circuit.
  • Implemented office automation solutions with Bell Canada at Saudi Telecom in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
 

Retail, Apparel, and Consumer Products

  • Designed and realized eCommerce strategies for several e-tailers around the world to market, sell, and support their products online and to develop customer loyalty programs.
  • Implemented customer relationship management system with point-of-sale integration and business analytics for retail luxury goods chains in Lebanon, Egypt, and the GCC.
  • Conducted business analysis and implemented business intelligence solutions at Pepsi Cola in Lebanon.
  • Analyzed business requirements for apparel manufacturers and supported implementation of Agile product life cycle solutions at Eminence, Chantelle, and Sicodit in France.
